Dr. Sarah Garcia grew up competing in the hunter/jumper circuits in her home state of South Carolina, where her early involvement in equestrian sport fostered a lasting passion for equine performance and wellness. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wofford College before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Garcia has pursued advanced training in integrative and performance-focused veterinary medicine through Chi University, where she earned certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture, Equine Rehabilitation and Performance Medicine, and Equine Veterinary Medical Manipulation (Veterinary Chiropractic). She is also an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian and a MagnaWave Certified Practitioner.
Her practice is centered on helping equine athletes maintain optimal health, soundness, and performance longevity through thoughtful, individualized care. Dr. Garcia works with horses across a wide range of disciplines and levels of competition, with a particular interest in supporting long-term performance and overall wellness.
Dr. Garcia currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, American Association of Equine Practitioners, and Florida Association of Equine Practitioners.
